I am Kamala, an end-of-life doula and the founder of Peaceful Passage Guide in San Francisco.

For more than twenty-three years, I served as a psychiatric and medical social worker, walking alongside people from many cultures and faiths across Northern California and Santa Fe. Much of that time was with the Veterans Administration, where I helped shape hospice care policy at the community and national levels.

Those years taught me that death is not just a medical process, but a deeply human one. Now, as a death doula, I provide holistic support that is compassionate, non-medical, and informed by a belief that all people have a right to feel seen and supported through this process of dying and death.
